I was born in 1975 in Ostend, Belgium, and my fascination with technology began around 1985 when a massive PC/XT took up residence in our home. It didn’t take long before I started developing software—and even sold a few copies. That early passion for solving real-world problems through technology has stayed with me ever since. Over the past 28 years, I’ve honed my expertise in creating technology-driven solutions, managing teams of up to 50 people along the way. My journey has taught me —sometimes the hard way— that technology is often an extension of collaboration between people and organizations. Real progress comes from addressing business challenges, streamlining processes, and enhancing customer experiences, all while leveraging the power of technology. For the past 13 years, I’ve worked as an independent management consultant, guiding Belgian SMEs through business and digital transformations. My role as a trusted advisor and challenger to CEOs and management teams enables me to blend strategic thinking with hands-on execution. I approach challenges like a chess game: thinking several steps ahead, balancing long-term vision with the agility to adapt to changing circumstances. Clients value my openness, drive, and ability to deliver tangible results daily. I’m passionate about designing digital systems and business models, often inventing new ones by combining in-house expertise with cross-industry insights. I thrive in creating scalable solutions, particularly for volume clients, where digital transformation can act as a catalyst for exponential growth. As an independent consultant, I’m not tied to software vendors or implementation partners, ensuring impartial advice. My experience spans ERP implementations (from niche telco solutions to generic ones like Dynamics AX, NAV and Business Central), e-commerce, and integrations (iPaaS)—a particular passion of mine. I’ve managed complex integrations in telecom and accountancy, championing open standards like PEPPOL to drive efficiency and innovation. Ultimately, my ambition is to help Belgian SMEs grow and remain relevant by applying innovative methodologies and scalable models. By addressing business problems with creativity and technology, I aim to create solutions that are as impactful and enduring as my early experiments with that first PC.
